Therapy & Support for Suicidal Thoughts in Monmouth County,

Please Note: LEAF Psychotherapy provides ongoing outpatient therapy. If you are in immediate danger of hurting yourself, please call or text the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988, or go to your nearest emergency room immediately. There is help available right this second.

When emotional pain, trauma, or depression becomes too heavy to carry, the mind naturally looks for an escape. Having thoughts of suicide does not mean you are weak, selfish, or "crazy"—it simply means you are in more pain than you currently have the tools to cope with. You just want the hurting to stop.

At LEAF by Dr. Dana Spada Psychotherapy, we want you to know that you can talk about these feelings out loud. We provide a highly private, completely safe, and judgment-free environment where you can unpack this heaviness without fear.

A Safe, Grounding Path Forward

Many people hide their suicidal thoughts because they are afraid their therapist will panic. Because we offer an expert, concierge level of care, our clinicians are trained to hold this space for you calmly and safely. We are not here to judge you or force you into a box; we are here to sit with you in the dark until we can help you find the light again.

Our integrative approach focuses first on establishing a sense of safety and stabilization. We utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help you build immediate distress tolerance skills to survive the hardest moments. As you begin to feel safer, we blend in Psychodynamic Therapy and CBT to gently heal the root causes of your pain, helping you rediscover a life that actually feels worth living.

You Do Not Have to Carry This Alone

There is profound relief in finally sharing this burden. When you are ready, a practice owner will personally answer your call, listen with absolute empathy, and match you with a specialist who can help you hold the weight.
